Sledges come in all different shapes and sizes, which one should you get?
Most Sledges are 'sit in' and it is important to get the right size for your children or yourself! For smaller children between 3-10, all plastic and wooden sledges are suitable. Accessories are available for the traditional wooden sleds to make them safer for smaller users.
Older children may need a wider plastic sledge so it's more comfortable to use. Sledges of at least 45cm in width should be fine for users up to 14 years old.
Which sledges are best suited for Adults?
If the sledge is for the adults of the older members of the family, look for a sledge which is at least 50cm wide. The Snow Bird and Super Big Speed Sledges would be perfect. We also have snow sledges for all of the family which can accomodate two children or an adult and child at the same time.
Snow sledges have definately evolved from the tea tray style sled and some sledges are now available with steering and brakes to ensure a thrilling experience on the snow this winter.
