4 stars Schools trampoline Written by Mark Thame

I have just purchased two standard 77 trampolines from supertramp, I am very impressed with them. When they arrived the kids love bouncing round on them to the point we are looking at running after school activities with them.

How do I know which bed I will need?

The choice of bed depends on your needs. For special needs and rebounding therapy a  Polymesh bed would be sufficient but if you want sporty performance then a webbed bed would best suit your needs. The best thing to do is call us Freephone 0800 1971897 and speak to one of our experts who will be able to talk through your options.

Can you tell me how big this trampoline is when it is folded up and will it go through a normal door?

When folded the 77A is 274 x 200 x 23cm. (l x h x w). A standard door is around 200cm. Best to measure as door can be all sorts of sizes

Do they have to be kept indoors ?

As with all gymnastic trampolines they are designed for indoor use. The frames are zinc plated and therefore will be weather resistant to a point but if left outdoors the weak point would be the hinges because there is no way of rust-proofing a moving part. Also the wheels on the roller stands are designed to roll over a hard surface and would sink into a soft surface such as grass. Many second hand Sports Hall Trampolines find their way into back gardens to "retire" but we wouldn't recommend a new unit being kept outside.

If you want the performance of a Gymnastic Trampoline for outdoor use then consider our Kangaroo or Super Kangaroo. These are the same size as the Super Gym 77 but can be kept outdoors all year round (they do not fold).

Is this trampoline suitable for rebound therapy in a school for special needs

Yes the Super Gym 77 is ideal for rebound therapy catering for special needs. We can fir it with a solid polymesh bed for comfort and durability. Please call us and we can discuss accessibility set-up depending on your needs, facility and budget.

What is the difference between a supermesh bed and a web bed?

The Polymesh bed is a very tight weave - mainly used on outdoor trampolines because it's a polymer fabric and therefore weatherproof. Because it's a tight weave it pushes a lot of air around when in use making it a slower performance - ideal for special needs and rebound therapy.

The Webbed bed as the name suggests is made from woven webbing and is a more open weave. It allows air to pass through the bed which reduces the fluid friction, making it a higher performance bed.

What weights can this trampoline hold? We do rebound therapy at our school and we can have 3-4 adults on at one time to support pupils, our current trampoline is not suitable for these weights.

Thank you for your message. By the sounds of it, I think you would benefit from a 77a with Polymesh bed.
