- Is the one - person big enough to seat 1 adult and small child?
Not really. if you look at the main picture of the 1 person Inflatable Kayak, with the adult seated there is certainly no room in front and only a small space at the back.

The Super Pathfinder Kayak has a thicker, more supportive seat. It is also supplied with heavier duty paddles and a air pressure guage to ensure correct inflation is achieved.
- is the super pathfinder suitable for use in the sea?
I bit difficult to answer. It depends on your own abilities and the weather conditions. As you know the weather can change very rapidly at sea and some coastal waters can have strong currents, rip tides and tidal races at certain tidal stages. A considered answer as someone that owns a Pathfinder Inflatable Kayak, and bearing in mind the eyes of the "Health & Safety Police", would be yes, in calm weather conditions and on a beach that has life guard cover.
From a performance point of view, the Pathfinder inflatable kayaks are very stable and handle very well even in the hands of a beginner.
